Yakusuke has been plagued by the misfortune of getting involved in incidents ever since he was a child, and he is always suspected by everyone in all cases. Because of this, Yakusuke has never been able to keep a job, and so he lives as a freeter, becoming employed in all kinds of different jobs and living off of the few salaries he gets, as well as off of the severance pay. During his constant involvement in all kinds of cases, he met Kyouko Okitegami, and has relied on her to prove his innocence many times.
