Orihime from the Milky Way Martial Arts School came to earth shortly before the Tanabata festival looking for Kengyu, her lover who has been away on a training trip, these two are also two characters in the Tanabata love story. So with the help of Ranma and Akane she finds him challenging many Martial Arts School. After Ranma defeated Kengyu he returned back to Orihime and they go back home.

However, it turns out the entire encounter with the her was merely a delusion Akane had after falling off a balcony. There relationship somewhat mirrors Ranma and Akane's, the two being engaged by their parents, both being martial artists, and Orihime even being lousy at domestic tasks in the same way Akane is.But unlike Akane, Orihime Is more open with her feelings toward her loved on.
