Hirokazu is shown to have high moral standards and cares a lot about his teammates and their wellbeing, going out of his way to assist and support others whenever possible, especially towards those who are sick. He was trained by Himeno for half a year. Himeno has stated that what he lacks in ability, he makes up for in drive. He likes writing haikus in his free time as a hobby.
