While a past incident caused him to split ways with the Knights of Favonius, he continues to protect Mondstadt in his own way. Diluc was once an ideal young man, dedicated to his work with Knights of Favonius, and a man who adored his father. However. after his father's untimely demise, along with Inspector Eroch ordering Diluc to cover up the incident, his faith in the Knights shattered and he started supressing himself. He left the organization and still holds resentment towards most of them.
