He used to be bullied but once Gonzou became his friend and started protecting him the bullies left him alone. He hopes that Takeshi and Gonzou will get along with each other somehow. An occult fanatic, Eiji often enjoys the thought of demons, ghosts, and aliens being involved in the group's adventures, even if it puts him in danger. He has an older sister in high school named Megumi.
