Rebecca was the main Antagonist of the novel, 'Lovers in Atlanta'. She is the fiance of the Crown Prince and only child of Duke Aertsen. House Aertsen is one of the country's founding families, and the closest family to the royals. From a young age, Rebecca was raised to be the perfect crown princess and wife of Prince Johannes. She is described to have unmatched beauty, temperament, perfection and family status. Rebecca favours Sasha, has her live at the Aertsen estate and showers her with gifts. When Sasha stated that she thought knights were 'cool', Rebecca started learning swordsmanship. Sasha encourages Rebecca to stand up for herself against Johannes. While Rebecca has no way of breaking her engagement, she plans to stall the marriage for as long as possible. Rebecca is confident and states, _"I've yet to meet a man in this kingdom who comes close to being on the same level as me"._
