The Touji of Saeki Brewery, where he has worked for 30 years. He has 50 years of experience as a Touji. Due to his old age, his health has noticibly declined, so he mentors Kusakabe so he can take over for him. He refuses to retire until he can brew sake using the legendary Tatsunishiki rice.
