Ruri is the descendant of the hero, who is on a journey to become a full-fledged hero. Despite being a descendant of the Hero, Ruri failed to manifest his power and was frequently bullied by others as being a failure. Despite encouragement from her parents to walk her own path, Ruri considered herself a disappointment and struggled with her self-esteem. After encountering Al and being reminded of what it means to be a hero, Ruri finally found the confidence to tap into her ancestor's power as well as falling in love with Al.
