Kaine, Tapp, and Light's supervisor, a gruff but caring soldier who takes the three trainees under his wing and instructs them in piloting. Often nicknamed 'Umibōzu' (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Umib%C5%8Dzu) by Kaine because of his large size and shaved head. Has a close relationship with Lt. Diane Lance.
