Brunhild is the daughter of the Siegfried family, a family of dragon-slaying heroes who lead the empire of Norveland. She was kidnapped by bandits when she was 3 years old. Their ship was wrecked, and she washed up on Eden, an island guarded by dragons. She was then raised by the Dragon of Eden when he saw her having survived after coming in contact with dragon's blood.
