Izuna was a student in High School before the outbreak. When the outbreak started she was bitten on the thigh, but didn't turn into a zombie. She started travelling with a scientist, Tsuru, who was trying to develop a vaccine, and was acting as her guardian. In the end she decided to travel with Akira's group but they plan on returning to the lab where Tsuru is.
