Carin is Aria's biological mother. She's a former sex worker who is now married to Count Roscent. Because she was born a commoner, other nobles look down on her and Aria, though she doesn't care what others say about her. Carin is a confident woman who cares deeply for her daughter. She does not truly love Count Roscent, and only married him so that she and Aria could escape poverty and have a better life.
