He's cheerful, dorky and appears to be strongly attracted to Kotonoha because of her good looks. In the anime, he often tries to impress Kotonoha, but she constantly tells him that she is Makoto's girlfriend and therefore cannot date him; Taisuke doesn't give up, though, and this ultimately causes some of the events that break Kotonoha the most.
