Height 133 cm (4' 5") Nationality Russian Affiliation United Nations Army Kasumi is a mysterious girl living in Yokohama base under Professor Kouzuki's care, who is often spotted floor B-19 in the room with the cylinder containing a brain. She wears a different uniform with a patch that says "Alternative IV" on it. Kasumi is quiet and reserved, rarely speaking to others on her own or showing much emotion. Though she rarely comes out on her own, after getting to know Takeru a little, she begins coming to Takeru's room every morning to wake him up.

Real name Trista Sestina, Kasumi is one of the few living remnants of Alternative III. A human esper created from an artificial womb with ESP abilities trained to read the thoughts of the BETA directly. Her name is a designation that means she is the 300th individual of the sixth generation. Before she was sent out, the plan switched to Alternative IV and Professor Kouzuki took her in to assist with her research.
