Orihime is the Goddess of calamity. Due to Yasuke breaking the shrine's sealed scared mirror, Orihime was released from the mirror. With his soul being sealed in her, they have to be in contact or else he'll die so they hold hands most of the time. If Orihime cries or is depressed, a dark mist surrounds her and calamity befalls on those around her.
