An 11-year-old sixth-grader, Natsuru is the ace player of the school's soccer team. He lives alone with his mother. He doesn't get along well with the new soccer coach and decided to skip the summer camp. He instead stayed at the Suzumura's house and went to the Bon festival with them.

He later dug up the corpse of the Suzumura's grandfather and, having doubts about keeping the secret, decided to run away from home. When he came back to school, he beat up those who spread rumors about Rio and earned a bad reputation.
