She has a straightforward, bad-mouthed, and harsh personality, but is actually quite a sweet and lovely child. She's also quite nimble and sensitive to supernatural phenomena, although this causes her to attract evil spirits. Due to her difficult home situation and being bullied at school (partially due to her strong personality, as well as her opinionated worldview that doesn't resonate with fellow students), she tends to skip class and go to the Azakawa Village Archive instead, where she stays up after closing hours, mostly reading books. She's frequently taken back home by Officer Mochizuki, whom she dislikes, albeit tolerates, describing him as "kind but insensible".
