Wanting a job near his university, 18-year-old Renji Kusakabe works as a clerk at an arcade. During his shift on Valentine's Day, he notices a British girl, Lily Baker, struggling to win a stuffed animal from a claw machine. After watching her lose for hours, Renji decides to jump in and win the prize with his impressive gaming skills.
